VISION 2026 – Machine vision that thinks ahead
From 2D to 3D, event-based vision and AI: vision that simply works – easy to use and seamlessly integrated into your system.
New platforms, new perspectives for industrial machine vision
For almost 30 years, IDS has been developing industrial cameras and machine vision components for demanding applications. High image quality, durable hardware and dedicated support provide the foundation for reliable machine vision solutions.
At the world's leading trade fair for machine vision, we showcase what is shaping the next generation of vision technology at IDS.
Making trends tangible, innovations practical and the future ready to experience.
#IDShasVISION!
Event-Based Vision
What happens when machine vision is no longer frame-based?
We offer insights into our portfolio of event-based cameras and, together with Prophesee, showcase new approaches for highly dynamic applications such as drones, UAVs and AGVs – including object detection, tracking and reliable navigation.
3D vision
How can objects be captured precisely in three dimensions?
The focus is on our 3D cameras based on indirect time-of-flight technology. We demonstrate their application using an AI-supported parcel handling scenario and showcase further developments of the uEye 3D Nion series, including a new RGB set for synchronized image acquisition that combines color and depth data.
We also present a broad portfolio of stereo vision 3D cameras, led by a new model in the Ensenso N series. Both technologies deliver reliable 3D data for robotics, bin picking, metrology and medical applications.
AI cameras and embedded vision
How can AI be reliably brought to the edge?
Our portfolio continues to grow: the monitoring cameras of the uEye Live series, featuring streaming and recording functions, are now being expanded with AI-enabled models. This enables AI-supported image processing directly at the edge. High-performance networks from our partner DENKweit ensure fast object detection and orientation, precise parcel handling and efficient code reading – simple, robust and more cost-effective than previous approaches.
GMSL multi-camera vision system
The Discovery Kit demonstrates how intelligent embedded vision processes and combines images from multiple cameras with integrated ISP and SoC directly within the system, transmitting the resulting data via a single GMSL cable. This reduces latency and data load while keeping host processing power fully available for the application. Ideal as a starting point for your own projects with distributed GMSL cameras in mobile applications.
Cameras with active focus control
The “Active Focus” innovation project presents a solution fully integrated into the camera, with focus control and feedback handled directly via software. The robust hardware is designed for demanding application areas such as logistics, autonomous systems and retail applications.
NDVI camera for vegetation analysis
The NDVI camera combines multispectral vegetation analysis with a conventional color camera. It makes the condition of vegetation visible and provides reliable NDVI values for improved planning and optimized resource use in agriculture.
uEye Vision
A new uEye Vision camera platform forms the technological foundation for future 2D industrial camera series. Combining a redesigned housing concept, modern styling and a new electronics architecture, it marks a significant step forward in camera development.
Featuring the latest sensor technology and high-performance components, the platform opens up new possibilities for enhanced performance, reliability and long-term scalability.
