Video streaming and recording by industrial cameras

Single-device solution for process monitoring

Are you looking for an easy and quickly integrated camera solution for visualizing machine processes - without any programming effort and without the need for an additional PC? Our uEye Live cameras offer you the ideal solution. These compact industrial cameras work with state-of-the-art SoC (System on Chip) components from our technology partner Ambarella and enable monitoring tasks to be executed directly on the camera without the need for an additional PC.

Due to the proven form factors and mechanical properties of our 2D industrial cameras, the uEye Live cameras are available in a wide range of versions. They are available both in the industry standard format (29 x 29 mm) as housing cameras and as single-board cameras for easy integration into your own devices.

Embedded system with SoC technology

The use of modern edge technology with an efficient SoC from Ambarella allows the camera to directly edit, process, filter or evaluate image data. Instead of sending single raw images, the camera transmits up to three parallel video streams, either compressed via RTSP protocol and H264 or via HTTP in MJPEG format directly to various end devices. A PC is not required for camera operation. The camera therefore fulfills various requirements, such as live monitoring, detailed post-analysis and integration into different systems.

Event Recording

The camera enables decentralized recording of video sequences in the internal persistent memory, triggered by a software command or a trigger line. Depending on the configuration, the seconds before, during and after an event are captured. This function allows complete documentation of machine malfunctions or failures. As a result, potential process errors can be analyzed and possible reasons identified.

Perfect image quality

The integrated ISP (Image Signal Processor) ensures optimum image quality at all times thanks to a variety of image enhancement algorithms, such as auto exposure and auto white balance, HDR and defect pixel correction. These algorithms automatically adapt the video content to different environmental conditions and optimize it specifically for the visual observation by human eyes.

Plug'n Stream

Once connected to the power supply, the camera is immediately ready for use. Streaming, recording and video settings can be easily configured via a web frontend in the browser without the need for special software or complex programming.

For seamless integration into existing systems, the web service offers a REST API that can be used to integrate the control and configuration of the camera into application programs or machine control systems.

uEye SCP: Monitoring in industry standard format

At 29 x 29 x 29 mm, the uEye SCP is extremely compact and fits into any process situation. A C-mount adapter enables the use of common lenses. Both the hirose plug, for IO cables and power supply, and the RJ-45 network connection can be locked and are therefore ideally suited to the mechanical challenges of industrial applications.

uEye SLE: space-saving and cost-optimized single-board camera

Developed as a single-board camera with dimensions of 45 x 45 mm as a design-to-cost concept, the uEye SLE is ideal for machine and device manufacturers to realize competitive projects with high quantities. The camera is available with a C or S-mount lens carrier, which additionally protects the circuit board all around and provides additional mounting points, or completely without a lens holder if your own optics are used.

Even more flexibility is provided by the use of an additional RJ45 interface board, which is connected to the base board via a small connector and a flex cable. This makes it easier to divide up the installation space for sensor and connector components in custom housing concepts.

Market launch with Sony Starvis 2 sensor IMX678

The initial model of the uEye Live Monitoring cameras will be the uEye SCP with Sony Starvis 2 color sensor IMX678. The camera therefore offers excellent image quality and reliable performance, even under difficult lighting conditions. The IMX678 sensor ensures exceptionally high sensitivity, sharp details and natural color reproduction of FullHD video streams.

This video explain the advantages of our new uEye Live camera family and show you how you can use these cameras as industrial dashcams in just a few steps, without any programming effort.
