New USB3 camera platform
Semiconductor shortage - IDS invests in new USB3 camera models
It's certainly no secret: semiconductors are currently in short supply worldwide and across all industries. This has a direct impact on the delivery times of products - including industrial cameras. IDS recognised this challenge early on and decided to invest in new solutions. Design-in cameras are already available for the first models. Series production is in the starting blocks and is then being continuously expanded.
In addition to our established, but unfortunately limited available USB3 models of the uEye CP, SE, LE and ACP families, we will gradually offer you alternative, IDS peak supported models with numerous sensors and Vision Standard compatibility. To ensure a fast implementation of your projects, we recommend that you use the new hardware revisions. Short delivery times are likewise possible with the USB3 cameras of the uEye XCP and uEye XLE families, which are also newly developed and hardly affected by semiconductor shortages. Please feel free to contact our sales team to determine the best solution for your projects.
For customers using models with GigE interface, we are currently also developing new, alternatively usable camera revisions. We will inform you as soon as these are ready for the market. Thank you for your trust and understanding.
