IDS NXT Release 4.2: Use intelligent camera as industrial dashcam
Free update brings recording feature for IDS NXT malibu
Are you looking for a camera that not only streams live, but also records automatically and independently of a PC system when a specific event occurs? Could you imagine having a complete video sequence after an event that not only includes the event itself, but also the decisive moments leading up to it - all without you having to interact manually?
Thanks to its powerful Ambarella SoC, the embedded vision platform of the IDS NXT malibu intelligent camera has all the necessary capabilities on board. All new settings for the recording feature and video streams can be conveniently made in the updated IDS NXT cockpit.
Other highlights of the release include the automatic correction of lens distortion and the OPC UA Server app for the IDS NXT malibu, which is now available.
IDS NXT malibu turns into a DashCam for industrial applications
OnCamera event recording with pre-alarm for IDS NXT malibu
Using the event recorder, the IDS NXT malibu records events automatically and independently of a PC system. Using a software trigger, a complete video sequence is stored in the persistent camera memory, which includes not only the event itself, but also the decisive moments leading up to it. All settings for the recording function and the video streams can be conveniently made in the updated IDS NXT cockpit.
Automatic correction of lens distortion
The IDS NXT malibu now corrects lens distortions automatically and hardware-accelerated. The software update utilises the ISP integrated in the Ambarella SoC to perform precise and efficient rectification of the images. This gives you impressively clear images directly from the camera. Discover the new quality of your image data!
OPC UA now also for IDS NXT malibu
The IDS NXT malibu receives an OPC UA server via vision app and is therefore equipped with the ‘OPC UA for Machine Vision’ information model. This enables direct integration of the intelligent camera into factory automation without additional hardware or programming effort. OPC UA ‘recipes’ and ‘configurations’ can be conveniently created in the IDS NXT cockpit.
