Ensenso PartFinder - locate objects using CAD geometries
Ensenso SDK 3.3 with new software module for finding objects in 3D point clouds
Version 3.3 of the Ensenso SDK has recently become available. It includes the new Ensenso PartFinder, a module for locating objects. Especially exciting: The tool offers you the option of loading your own CAD geometries and finding them again via the point clouds from your Ensenso 3D cameras.
Due to the close link with Ensenso-specific camera parameters, the Ensenso PartFinder offers many advantages compared to other available 3D matching algorithms. The combined use of depth information, surface normals and texture data makes it possible to reliably solve even tricky localization tasks. This means that also logos, imprints, labels or other elements of the packaging design can be used to find the correct position and orientation of objects.

The PartFinder functionality is included in the normal NxLib. However, you need a separate license to use it. Our sales team will be happy to answer any questions you may have and can help you evaluate the new tool.
