The UI-5290FA is an industrial camera with Sony IMX267 sensor with 8.9 MP resolution (4112 x 2176 pixels) at 32 fps. Like all global shutter sensors from the Sony Pregius series, the IMX267 has the smallest pixel size on the market (3.45 µm) with a 1" sensor size, and simultaneously features very low noise.

The UI-5290FA mainly shows its capabilities in slower machine vision applications for which a large field of view is required. It is available in monochrome and color versions. The UI-5290FA stands for pure and pin sharp images.

Biotechnology and life sciences

Image processing can be used, for example, to analyze living organisms and biological processes - from swarm behaviour to cell division.

Endless web inspection

Whether steel, paper or fabrics - IDS cameras always keep an eye on their test object and detect, for example, material defects or stains.

Factory / process automation

Cameras are used in monitoring, control, regulation and optimization systems and help e.g. with localization and selection tasks.

Machine vision

Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.

Mechanical engineering

From inspection on the production line to controlling entire systems - camera technology helps to ensure smooth processes.

Medical technology (and laboratory automation)

Image processing is indispensable in medical technology. For instance, IDS cameras provide data for diagnostic purposes in ophthalmology or dentistry.

Monitoring

Image processing can be used, for example, to record visitor numbers and customer behavior and carry out entrance controls.

Traffic and transport (ITS)

Keeping an eye on everything - IDS cameras recognize vehicles, check the traffic flow or help with rail and road inspections.
