Product Life Cycle Camera in series production. 🛈 Product Life Cycle Long-term availability is an important aspect when selecting the right industrial camera. Our camera finder gives you the life cycle of each camera model so that you can take this criterion into account in your camera selection. The following life cycle statuses are differed: In development The model is not yet in series production, but will be introduced shortly. In series Camera in series production. Not recommended for new designs The camera model is no longer recommended for new application development. We suggest looking for newer models of the "in series" availability. Discontinued The model has been discontinued. You have the opportunity to secure inventory before the end of the last-time-buy order period. See product discontinuations. uEye industrial cameras now also work with IDS peak!
We recommend the Software Development Kit for the implementation of new projects. Learn about the process here and switch now.
Please note: The technical data given here was measured using the IDS Software Suite.

Our UI-5270FA industrial camera provides outstanding images and features a Sony IMX265 global shutter CMOS sensor – probably the best CMOS image sensor in the 3 megapixel class in terms of dynamic range, light sensitivity, and linearity. At full resolution of 2045 x 1542 pixels, the ethernet camera achieves frame rates of 36 fps. The reduced pixel size of 3.45 µm allows more pixels in a smaller optical format.

As a result, a very large choice of compact, cost-effective lenses is available for the 1/1.8" sensor. The IDS Software Suite provides special sensor functions, such as line scan mode enabling the camera to be used as a cost-effective alternative to line scan cameras.

Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.

Traffic and transport (ITS)

Keeping an eye on everything - IDS cameras recognize vehicles, check the traffic flow or help with rail and road inspections.

Medical technology (and laboratory automation)

Image processing is indispensable in medical technology. For instance, IDS cameras provide data for diagnostic purposes in ophthalmology or dentistry.

Metrology

IDS cameras detect objects and provide accurate information, such as their dimensions or positioning.

Inspection applications

IDS cameras can be used to check for completeness or material defects and to detect defects or bar/matrix codes.

Mechanical engineering

From inspection on the production line to controlling entire systems - camera technology helps to ensure smooth processes.

Factory / process automation

Cameras are used in monitoring, control, regulation and optimization systems and help e.g. with localization and selection tasks.

Biotechnology and life sciences

Image processing can be used, for example, to analyze living organisms and biological processes - from swarm behaviour to cell division.

Electronics inspection

Cameras can check the geometry of printed circuit boards, detect the presence and absence of components as well as dirt and inspect solder joints.

Pharma and healthcare

By using cameras, it is possible to check e.g. whether packaging is correctly filled and printed or whether there are any impurities.
