The UI-5240CP is a particularly powerful industrial camera with the e2v 1.3 megapixel CMOS sensor. This is one of the most sensitive sensors in the IDS product portfolio and it is available in monochrome, color (EV76C560ABT/EV76C560ACT), and as NIR version (EV76C661ABT). Besides its outstanding sensitivity to light in CCD quality, the camera also has a range of other distinctive features: For example, the sensor provides two global shutter and two rolling shutter modes, which you can switch between while the camera is in operation.

This makes the sensor extremely flexible if requirements or ambient conditions change. There are also up to four areas of interest (AOI). You can use these either to check several features simultaneously or to capture AOIs in a sequence of exposures using a wide range of different parameters.

3D-Scanning

The depth information of 3D images provides valuable data - for example for dentistry, back or foot measurement.

Astronomy

Reach for the stars with IDS cameras - image processing shows information that is difficult or impossible for humans to grasp.

Endless web inspection

Whether steel, paper or fabrics - IDS cameras always keep an eye on their test object and detect, for example, material defects or stains.

Gesture and eye tracking

Whether for research or entertainment: IDS cameras can be used to track eye movements and gestures, for example.

Machine vision

Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.

Medical technology (and laboratory automation)

Image processing is indispensable in medical technology. For instance, IDS cameras provide data for diagnostic purposes in ophthalmology or dentistry.

Monitoring

Image processing can be used, for example, to record visitor numbers and customer behavior and carry out entrance controls.

Quality assurance

IDS cameras are used in different production phases, e.g. by checking completeness or by detecting defects.

Safety technology

Image processing is used, for example, for access control or the monitoring of rooms or outdoor facilities.

Traffic and transport (ITS)

Keeping an eye on everything - IDS cameras recognize vehicles, check the traffic flow or help with rail and road inspections.
