Product Life Cycle Camera in series production. 🛈 Product Life Cycle Long-term availability is an important aspect when selecting the right industrial camera. Our camera finder gives you the life cycle of each camera model so that you can take this criterion into account in your camera selection. The following life cycle statuses are differed: In development The model is not yet in series production, but will be introduced shortly. In series Camera in series production. Not recommended for new designs The camera model is no longer recommended for new application development. We suggest looking for newer models of the "in series" availability. Discontinued The model has been discontinued. You have the opportunity to secure inventory before the end of the last-time-buy order period. See product discontinuations. For further questions, please contact our sales team.

The 1/2" rolling shutter sensor IMX412 from Sony delivers powerful 12.33 MPix (4056 x 3040 px px, pixel size 1.55 µm) in the U3-38L2XLS Rev.1.2 board-level camera. It belongs to Sony's Starvis series and delivers high-resolution data for challenging image evaluations. The USB3 Vision industrial camera achieves 18.0 fps. You can choose between models without lens mount and with CS- or S-mount.

The uEye+ XLS board-level camera offers 4K resolution and is well suited for a wide range of visualisation tasks. It can be used in both industrial and non-industrial applications and is particularly suitable for embedded vision systems.

Like all camera models in the uEye XLS family, the U3-38L2XLS Rev.1.2 is GenICam-compliant and therefore compatible with our state-of-the-art IDS peak software development kit.

Medical technology (and laboratory automation)

Image processing is indispensable in medical technology. For instance, IDS cameras provide data for diagnostic purposes in ophthalmology or dentistry.

Document scanning

Efficient capture of document content, for example for documentation or process automation.

Embedded systemes

Typical scenarios are the use in portable systems for quality control, in diagnostics, in scanners or drones.

Cameras are indispensable in the logistics sector - e.g. for (de-)palletizing tasks, sorting tasks or in autonomous vehicles.

With IDS cameras, robots learn to "see" - this enables applications such as bin picking or (de-)palletizing.
