Camera finder

After completing a few questions, the application-based camera finder will suggest suitable models. You can then further refine your hit list using technical data/features if required.

technical application specific

What environment awaits the camera?

Do you require color or monochrome images?
Clear 🛈 Monochrome (= monochrome) and color sensor variants have an effect on the sharpness of the image. Monochrome cameras are noticeably more detailed. Due to the upstream Bayer pattern, color cameras effectively produce only a quarter of the pixels of an identical monochrome camera.
Is it a static or moving scene?
Clear 🛈 Shutters control the exposure time of an image sensor. The movement of the scene influences the image quality through the shutter technology of the sensors. A global shutter exposes the entire area used for an image at the same time. A rolling shutter exposes the sensor line by line, which can lead to image distortion during fast movements, especially at high resolutions and low readout times. Modern rolling shutter sensors are often also suitable for moving scenes and are more cost- efficient than global shutters of the same resolution class.
In which environment is the camera used?
Clear 🛈 The higher the number of the IP certification, the better the protection against water, dust and dirt.
  • IP0: offers no extra protection
  • IP30: Protection against the ingress of solid foreign bodies with a diameter > 2.5 mm
  • IP65/67: Protected against water jets, dust and immersion in water for 30 minutes
  • IP69K: Protected against water during high-pressure/steam jet cleaning, dust-proof
What is the distance between the camera and the PC?
Which interface do you prefer?
Clear 🛈 USB enables a simple plug & play connection. From a cable length of 5 m, high-speed can no longer be fully guaranteed via USB2 and USB3. With Ethernet, this is possible up to cable lengths of 100 m.
How large is the required field of view and the smallest detail?

Clear 🛈 These inputs are used to determine cameras with a suitable sensor resolution. "Smallest detail": Specify the size of the smallest element to be identified in the field of view.
