That was Computer Vision Day 2025
Lively discussions, new contacts and inspiring insights
What happens when industry leaders, researchers and start-ups come together to discuss the future of image processing and artificial intelligence? Exciting encounters, new ideas, and a spirit of optimism characterized the first Computer Vision Day, which took place on 9 October, 2025, in Obersulm, Germany.
More than 150 participants enjoyed a day that perfectly combined knowledge and networking, with keynotes, specialist presentations on current developments, practical live demonstrations, a hackathon, and stimulating discussions. Company tours, which offered exclusive behint-the-scenes insights at IDS, were particularly popular.
During the panel discussion, ‘Is rule-based image processing a thing of the past?’, experts discussed explainable AI, data supply chains and hybrid models – topics that provided ample food for thought.
IDS Managing Director Alexander Lewinsky aptly summarized the day: ‘It was an all-around successful event with high-quality presentations and inspiring discussions. We are delighted with the positive feedback and the great atmosphere created by everyone involved.’
The first Computer Vision Day showcased significant interest in practical AI and image processing innovations, as well as the energy that results from the convergence of expertise, curiosity, and openness. It was a great start, leaving us wanting more.
