Popular, but getting on in years: The 18 MP sensor AR1820 from onsemi had a firm place in our product range for a long time. After the discontinuation by the manufacturer, we are therefore even more delighted to be able to present and offer you the technical successor AR2020 - as the first company in the industrial camera market!
Smallest details? No challenge, thanks to 5K UHD resolution! Compared to the AR1820, the new 20 MP rolling shutter sensor has a larger diagonal and therefore a better resolution with powerful 5136 x 3856 pixels. A frame rate of 15 fps is sufficient for many demanding applications such as quality inspection, and the FHD mode with 1920 x 1080 pixels allows live videos with 27 fps.
In addition, thanks to larger pixels (1.4 μm), you have more leeway when choosing a suitable lens. The onsemi AR2020 is available in color and as a monochrome version - the latter is ideal for low-light applications and microscopy where even more sensitivity is required.
We have already started series production of our uEye+ XCP cameras; uEye+ XLS board-level variants will follow.
