Today’s rolling shutter CMOS sensors are many times faster than sensors of the first generation.

Configured properly they are a cost-effective alternative to global shutter sensors in many applications with moving objects, e.g. for number plate recognition in traffic monitoring, for positioning of samples in quality assurance or to sort fruits or vegetables in the food industry. In addition, the sensors IMX178 and IMX290 from Sony’s STARVIS series fascinate us with a number of exceptional performance data and features, so we can’t withhold these IDS cameras from you.
