IDS peak Update 2.7 makes "Reconnect" available for uEye / uEye+ GigE cameras
Software Development Kit for uEye and uEye+ cameras with new features
Voltage issues, shaky contact, power outage - there can be different reasons why a camera loses the connection to the host PC. In IDS peak we have now implemented a feature that used to be very popular in the IDS Software Suite: The automatic reconnect.
When the feature is activated, you make sure that your uEye or uEye+ GigE camera reconnects automatically after the connection is lost. The previously set host parameters (e.g. debayering) and the internal structures (buffers, pointers, nodemaps, etc.) are maintained, so that the application continues to run as intended. Requirement: The camera parameters must first be saved in a UserSet of the camera and selected as "Default" when the camera is booted. In a later release, the Reconnect will also be made available for USB3 cameras.
As always, you can find more information on the release of IDS peak 2.7 and the different enhancements in the latest release notes. IDS peak 2.7 is available as of now.
