IDS peak Release 2.4: Now you can also test AI with standard 2D cameras from IDS
Software Development Kit IDS peak now available as Release 2.4 with many new features
Would you like to get an insight into what can be realized with artificial intelligence and image processing? For everyone curious, there is now the option of using standard industrial cameras from IDS for this purpose, thanks to IDS peak AI. The release of IDS peak 2.4 makes it possible to run inference on a host PC and test various use cases.
There are classification and detection networks available. In the IDS peak Cockpit you will find various demos - for example, a classification of dogs and cats as well as a person detection. Simply load the neural networks into IDS peak, show your camera the corresponding images and test how the results change with the various setting options.
The results are displayed in the IDS peak Cockpit in the left column with percentage values. Just try it: directly with your existing IDS camera setup.
You want to test AI Vision even more individually in IDS peak? Train your own network in IDS lighthouse - it's so easy!
IDS peak 2.4 also brings further innovations: For example, you now benefit from a function that automatically calculates the best sharpness under ComfortC. This helps you to quickly and easily find the optimal focus for your camera. By default, the focus is set on the entire image, but it is also possible to set individual AOIs.
For ComfortC, we now also offer an improved edge display for optimized visualization. All common image formats are supported. The edge enhancement can be graduated thanks to a slider, so that you can set the optimum value for yourself according to your needs.
Further information on the new features and which other improvements the release offers - for example, optimized image rotation and hot pixel correction - can be found in the release notes.
