Inspiring, colorful, loud: This was the first Slush'D in Heilbronn
The Startup Festival was able to acquire around 750 participants
September 22nd was an eventful day for Heilbronn. In the morning, the first stone laying of the Innovation Park Artificial Intelligence took place in the presence of Minister President Winfrid Kretschmann, Minister of Economics Dr Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Lord Mayor Harry Mergel and the Dieter Schwarz Foundation. Afterwards, the participants quickly moved on, because at noon the decommissioned E-block of the EnBW power plant opened its doors.
With its dark and mystical halls, the E-Werk was the perfect contrast to the colorful and loud startup scene that gathered there for the first Slush'D. The subsidiary event of the Finnish original brought founders, companies and investors together. The organization of Slush'D was put in the hands of Oliver Hanisch, CEO of Campus Founders GmbH. He was able to acquire around 750 participants. Start-up pitches, keynotes, open discussions and networking dominated the agenda until 9 pm, followed by an after-show party.
"I am deeply impressed with the Slush'D event. Especially that Oliver Hanisch managed to bring it to my home town of Heilbronn," sums up IDS Managing Director Jürgen Hartmann, who was involved in a Ted Talk on the topic of "Building The New Mittelstand". "Although I am a founder myself, I am amazed by the startup scene and keep thinking: a completely unknown and fascinating world for me."
IDS has been working closely with start-ups since 2018, which led to visionpier, the online marketplace for image processing solutions.
