During moving scenes a flash is required for many applications and thus blur from moving objects can be eliminated. The triggering of a flash may not take place at any given time with free running cameras. There are the so called "forbidden areas" in which a flash may not be triggered.
If the connected cameras are synchronized from the EAGLE, the flash strobe output on the EAGLE controls the strobe (is_SetFlashStrobe()). With is_SetFlashStrobe() the line number in the video timing, at which the flash strobe output should be set. This can be set to either ODD or EVEN and also in both fields. The duration of the flash strobe pulse is approx. 64 μs (~1 row) and has TTL level.
