During the installation of the FALCON/EAGLE frame grabber, stick to the points mentioned in section Software installation and Hardware installation.
If, after following the aforementioned points, the FALCON/EAGLE still does not display a live image, please go through the following check list:
•Is the camera’s PSU switched on?
•EAGLE: Has the voltage supply (12 Volt) for the cameras been wired on the card?
•Is the aperture on the camera sufficiently open?
•Is the camera correctly connected to the frame grabber?
•PCI/PCI Express/VGA card available?
•Can the frame grabber initialize the IDSDEMO program?
•Correct video inputs selected?
•Is the selected video mode (PAL, NTSC, SECAM) the correct video standard for the camera?
•Is the selected color resolution of the operating system compatible with the color mode selected on the FALCON/EAGLE (not urgently necessary when using the DIB Device Independent Bitmap output mode)?
•Is live mode active?
•Is DirectX active? (required for real time display)
•Is the frame grabber marked as being ready for operation? Have FALCON and/or EAGLE an interrupt sharing with other devices? If so, plug the frame grabber in to another PCI slot. This can avoid conflicts because of a lack of resources.
•Windows 7/8/8.1/10: Is the "FALCON" entry below Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > Sound, video and game controller visible? Is the Frame Grabber marked as being ready for operation? Have FALCON and/or EAGLE an interrupt sharing with other devices? If so, plug the frame grabber in to another PCI slot. This can avoid conflicts because of a lack of resources.
•Exchange the frame grabber and the VGA card (i.e. put the grabber card in the VGA card slot and vice versa). In doing so, the cards are initialized in a different order.
If all this fails, then contact us via email describing your computer configuration and the problem encountered.
